for everyone
My Tita who is in Canada told me about her desire of getting a job in some of the nursing homes in Philadelphia because it gives better compensation than being a private care giver of an aging client. My Tita has been working in Canada for almost two years already. Before she went there, she was assigned in Israel for four years to take care of an old Hebrew woman. Now, she is taking care of another old woman who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. According to her, most of the time, people with this kind of disease has varied moods. Oftentimes, the moods turns into tantrums that she cannot even control. Whenever her client turns wild, she just patiently calms her client down. I don't know how my Tita does it, but I think she really is patient enough to take care of clients like that.

I am already in my third year of BSin Nursing course, and until now, I am not yet sure if I wanted to have a lifetime commitment of taking care of sick people. For now, I just wanted to finish the course.

Hearing the news and updates from my Tita makes me want to shift into another course. I don't know if I can tolerate people who have emotional unstabilities. In my 4 months exposure of hospital work this semester, I already have encountered different kinds of cases. But I haven't had experienced taking care of people who's got beautiful minds. Thinking about it makes me excited and at the same time afraid. Well I think I just have to ask for huge doses of good luck so that I can finish this thing smoothly. Next sem, we are going to have an exposure in the Mental ward. goodluck to my paranoia.
